Stacking the Shelves #7

ARCs Recieved

The Iron Trial- Cassandra Clare and Holly Black
I have never been this excited about an ARC. I'm currently reading this and a very positive review will be up soon because this book is amazing!

Holding on to Georgia- Courtney Giardinia
Review will be up 30/10/14

Ignite- Lily Paradis
Click here for cover reveal and stay tuned for release day blitz and interview!

E-Books Bought

Isla And The Happily Ever After- Stephanie Perkins
It's so good! I still can't find a hardcopy even though it's was published over a week ago here in Aussie....

Ugly Love- Colleen Hoover
Another long-awaited book which I can't get in hardcopy yet :/

Lola and the Boy Next Door- Stephanie Perkins
I already own a hardcopy of this but I got the ebook so I could reread it before Isla came out.

Also, does this cover remind anyone else of (Shadowhunter-world) Silent brothers? This is not how the character in the book is described..... Suspicious? I think yes.

Let me know if you got/have any of these books and what you think of them!

  1. I'm super keen for The Iron Trials...except I read one review that says it basically rips off Harry Potter AND NOW I'M SAD. Still! Holly Black and Cassandra Clare?! Talk about an epic book mix. ;) And yay for Isla! I haven't got it yet, but I'm super keen to read it. Love that series. ^.^

    1. Really the only similarities between the two is that two guys and a girl go to ''magic school'', so I get where they're coming from but don't really agree xD Cassie and Holly are great writers and really make the series their own. So don't worry, I think you'll love it :) And you will definitely LOVE Isla!

  2. Yup, I've never read a S. Perkins books (I know I know). I'm a fan of Holly Black's Curse Workers series but am hesitant to touch this book with Cassandra Clare as I'm not a fan of hers. Enjoy your new books!

    1. YOU. SHOULD. READ. STEPHANIE. P. OKAY?
      But really, she's great.
As for Iron trial, give it a go :) I haven't read any of Holly's books yet so I can't tell you if Iron Trial is similar. But I can say that it's quite different from Cassandra's usual writing style.
      Happy reading :)

    1. Keep reading because, in my opinion, Isla is even better than Lola. :)
It's great so far and thanks

  4. I loved The Iron Trial. It's not at all what you'd expect. I can honestly say I was surprised a few times while reading it. Naturally, people are going to compare it to Harry Potter because of the "magic school", but once they actually read it, they'll see it is VERY different. I just hope people give it a chance before making judgements. I own Anna and Lola but haven't read them yet (I discussed this in a post last week). I really want to read them, and I actually feel bad that I haven't since so many people love them so much.
